Import Roster from the Previous Week

Aug 24, 2025 3 weeks ago 6 Steps
How to copy published roster shifts from a prior week into the current week in Planaji, creating draft entries that can be edited and then published.

Step-by-Step Guide

1 Log in and open the Roster tab

Sign in with your Planaji email and password, then click the Roster tab on the top navigation bar (see the “Logging‑in” help article for login details).

2 Identify the source and target weeks

Decide which week you want to copy from and to (e.g., import the roster from Week 29into Week 30).

3 Trigger the import

While on the target‑week page (e.g., Week 30) click the Import Prev Week button. A confirmation dialog appears; choose Yes and then hit Okay.

4 Review the imported draft shifts

The system copies all published shifts from the previous week (Week 29) into the current week (Week 30) on the same weekdays. All copied shifts are placed in draft status so you can modify them before publishing.

5 Avoid duplicate entries

If you click Import Prev Week again, Planaji will only add new shifts that do not already exist, preventing duplicate shift records.

6 Finalise the roster

After reviewing/editing the draft shifts, publish them as needed. You have now successfully imported a roster from a prior week.
